MTA offers a service to its members where they need assistance with any Code or insurance issue.
MTA BRS Division Manager will help you to lodge an Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) or take other appropriate action.
Motor Vehicle Insurance & Repair Industry Code of Conduct Disputes Lodged
MTA NSW had received numerous complaints from Repairers over possible transgressions or contraventions of the code. MTA NSW has a Standard IDR Form that covers all areas of the Code, this form has now been revised with specific Code infringements.

MTA Magazine is the Official Publication of MTA NSW. It is delivered via post to members and subscribers quarterly, (four times per annum). The contents of the magazine make it a must-read for the industry as it contains vital information on issues faced by MTA members, and in turn, the industry as a whole. MTA Magazine is delivered nationwide to almost 9,000 motor industry related business owners/operators and is an excellent vehicle for advertising your products and services directly to Motor Trade and service station / convenience store businesses.

Services and Benefits
MTA has more than 6,000 member businesses and is growing yearly. MTA Employment Advice is delivered by qualified and experienced Industrial Officers and offers up to date information on new awards and legislation.
MTA offers a wide range of advice on legislation that affects the industry.
MTA is an approved organisation for the security industry if members fit/install/supply motor vehicle security devices.
MTA Members have a high standard of professional conduct and this is reflected in MTA's Code of Ethics.
MTA members are required to abide by the Code and this means that consumers can have confidence when dealing with a business that displays the MTA logo, that business has made a commitment to good service for its customers.
MTA NSW is also a Registered Training Organisation and provides a range of Traineeships and other Vocational Training which is nationally accredited. The training programs can be accessed across metropolitan and regional venues and also at member's workplace. find out more

Please note: The MTA does not provide legal advice to consumers. The Motor Traders’ Association (MTA) is a member based Association. The MTA is not a government body and does not issue trading licenses or trade certificates.
This document offers the format for MTA to provide an MTA Member a notification of your comments/query/complaint.
If you have consented, the MTA will provide a copy of this Form to the Member concerned. The Member will be asked to contact you to discuss/resolve the issue you have raised. If no consent has been provided, this form will be filed for future reference by the Association only.
Amendments to the Associations Organisational Rules
Members are advised that following approval of the Special General Meeting of members held on 23rd September to alter the organisations Rules, your Association has now lodged on 9th October, 2014 with the Fair Work Commission appropriate notices, applications and declarations seeking final approval for such changes.
The changes approved at the meeting of the Association will not become operative until approved by the Fair Work Commission.
