I-CAR Training - Sydney
The next I-CAR Training Courses are being run in Sydney on Wednesday 21st October 2009:

ALT02 (HYBRID ELECTRIC & ALTERNATIVE FUEL VEHICLES) (New Course)
With almost every manufacturer ready to release their own Hybrids from early 2010, this brand new course will minimise the risks in your workshop, both in repair, storage and handling.
SPS07 (STEEL UNITIZED STRUCTURES TECHNOLOGIES AND REPAIR)
Developed to address the issues of high strength and ultra high strength steels, this course is a must for anyone involved in collision repair on post 2000 vehicles.

I-CAR Training – Upcoming Courses
I-CAR is introducing the following courses which are being run in other states. When MTA receives information that these courses are available in NSW we will pass the information on.

POP01 (HIGH VOLUME VEHICLES – BRAND SPECIFIC REPAIR ISSUES) (New Course)
Including current models such as the Commodore, Corolla, Camry, Civic and Accord, this course looks at the use and location of exotic steels, repair options, heating welding and sectioning recommendations, and the specific adhesives for each model. Specific torque specifications for each make are listed and discussed.

DAM04 (SIDE & REAR IMPACT ANALYSIS – RESTRAINTS, INTERIOR, GLASS)
Based on the need to understand the issues of collision energy management and how it affects repair methods, this course outlines the considerations for side impact damage analysis, including inspecting parts affected by side impacts eg. the rear body, restraints, exterior trim and hardware.
