Benefits of Membership
As an MTA NSW member, you’ll have a dedicated Business Development Manager who you can contact should you need advice on the day-to-day running of your business. Divisional Managers are also available to provide industry advice regarding your specific business issues. Whether it is about understanding the licensing requirements or helping with a customer dispute, members are able to obtain advice. Divisional Managers do conduct division meetings and information nights to report on the latest issues in the industry. Also, initial legal advice for 30 minutes from Madison Marcus Legal Services is free through your affiliation with MTA NSW.
Several events are held during the year for members to attend. These events are designed for members to relax, network and celebrate their industry. Functions include the MTA NSW Masters Golf Day, annual Race Days, and the MTA NSW Motor Industry Awards for Excellence evening.

Employment Relations Advice
Our Employment Relations staff can offer advice on your employment relations issues and awards, including long service leave, employee termination, work, health and safety management, superannuation obligations and much more. In addition, MTA NSW has a range of services to help you manage and keep track of your business, including:
The MTA’s Employment Relations Information Service, ERIS, is a subscriber-only service that assists you in keeping track of your employees’ leave, pay, and other records, your workplace’s WH&S requirements, and much more;
The Autosafe WHS Management System assists members with the conduct of audits, recording of outcomes and rectifications; and a series of registers from plant maintenance to hazardous substances to assist with compliance. This system helps by sending out reminders and store records as evidence of activity.
Workers’ compensation advice can be obtained through an affiliation with QBE (MTA/QBE Workers Compensation Scheme).
MTA NSW offers a range of products to assist members, including:
Commonwealth Bank (CBA) Credit Card Merchant Fee Discounts and Banking Products - an exclusive member only deal for their credit card merchant fees. AutoPay, is the MTA NSW business payroll and employee management software; AutoPay is a web based payroll system that offers subscribers the flexibility of managing their payroll, payslip's and reports from their home or office. AutoPay is designed and built by the Motor Traders' Association of NSW for its members as a value added service option with full technical support and is the only payroll system that is endorsed by MTA NSW. Green Stamp Assessment and Accreditation
Green Stamp is a national environmental program that is run in each state and territory through the relevant Motor Trade Association.
Green Stamp aims to ensure that businesses in the automotive industry have access to information and tools to help achieve environmental compliance and beyond. The Program assists small to medium business in the automotive trades to incorporate processes and practices that avoid, reduce, reuse, recycle and dispose of waste in an environmentally sensitive manner.
In cooperation with other State Associations, OurAuto Insurance has been established as a national insurance offering for all segments of the automotive industry. OurAuto Insurance provides smart, reliable insurance and risk solutions to the Australian Automotive Industry. This means whether you are a large multi-million dollar car dealership down to a small family business, OurAuto Insurance will be able to assess and then find the best insurance to meet your needs.

OurAuto Tech-Centre is Australia's most comprehensive automotive technical information resource, and is offered to MTA NSW members through OurAuto, a VACC business providing solutions for Australian automotive businesses.
Training and apprenticeships
MTA NSW has been operating as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), delivering training flexibility across NSW since 1996. MTA NSW has developed a strong and successful training model which has delivered many benefits to employers and learners in the automotive industry, both in NSW and the ACT.
MTA Training delivers innovative and flexible, industry focused training and prides itself on producing quality outcomes. Our training is provided through the employment-based delivery mode, where training and assessment is conducted in the workplace using a blend of face-to-face training, technology and skill based resources.
Apprenticeships R Us is a Group Training Company established by the Association to reduce the burden on members when employing apprentices. It will recruit, assess, employ and manage apprentices on behalf of participating members.
