In the past year MTA Training has been successful in gaining three Federal
Government Projects.
Two of the projects have allowed MTA Training to expand our knowledge and capabilities in the areas of E & M Learning. For our traineeship and apprenticeship delivery in 2007 MTA Training will look to incorporate components of E & M Learning through podcasts, CD based learning resources, mobile blogging and SMS. The final tender is based on promotion, enhancement and support of our delivery of Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship.
Our delivery in 2006 has been successful and we look forward to expanding the number of apprentices we train as well as the areas that we can deliver that qualification. It is hoped that in 2007 MTA Training will be able to deliver the Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship in the Lower Hunter and Illawarra. MTA Training has brought online LPG courses for members and they will be run from now until the middle of next year in a bid to meet the demand by members for LPG training.
The training is the basis for the LPG license and allows members to install service and repair LPG systems. In 2006 there has also been an expansion of the range of traineeships that we can offer members. MTA now trains in tyre fitting (light), cooling systems, steering and suspension, air conditioning and automotive administration.
