Bathurst, NSW - Weekend Wrap Up 📝

Coming into round 3 we were looking for a bit of redemption after the disappointment of Phillip Island. We topped the timing sheets in P1 and were in the top 5 in P2 after battling through a broken a rear swaybar.

We found pace again in quali with purple sectors up and over the hill before a front left tyre failure through the chase left me practically parked up at the Rydges hotel and stranded in the gravel trap declaring the session.  Because we were the reason for quali being declared we were relegated to the back of the grid. To make matters worse I couldn't see the start lights from where I was which lead to slow get away.  Once we got going I had a pearler of a run and picked up 13 spots in race 1, getting the chance to absolutely send it over top and make moves wherever I could with the signature Skyline move working a treat.

Race 2 was a little frustrating but still positive. Pushed up another 5 spots early but in clean air towards the end didn't really have the pace I thought we potentially could. Ended up P4.

A little tune up overnight and I had real pace in race 3 which was plagued with safety cars. Jumped Tander at the start but ran out of racing laps to get any further up the road.  A little mistake at T2 on the 2nd restart made to much of a gap to make any real impressions. Finished up in P3, only 2 hundreths behind my GRM team mate Aaron Cameron.
We’re slowly working our way back up the points board and I can’t wait to take the pace we had over the weekend to my home circuit at the end of the month.

Phillip Island, VIC

Jordan had a great start to the year at the TCR Symmons Plains Round 1 at Phillip Island in January, finishing in first place overall on the weekend. With an action-packed start to the week with a few bumps and turns, Jordan was still able to pick up his first win in TCR and hit a few record laps at the raceway. Jordan stated it was going to “be tough work to keep it up but I’m raring to go and welcoming the challenge with Rnd 2 just around the corner”. Keep your eyes open for Jordan back at Phillip Island for Round 2 on the 12th of March.
