How the NSW planning system can help the transition to zero and low emissions vehicles

How the NSW planning system can help the transition to zero and low emissions vehicles, especially in apartment buildings was the main topic of discussion when MTA NSW met with the Shadow Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, Mr Paul Scully MP.

Charging an electric vehicle at home is the preference of most EV owners and those looking to purchase an electric vehicle.  How the NSW planning system navigates this issue will be an important issue as more EVs come into the market.

Head of Government Relations and Advocacy, Collin Jennings, also raised with the Shadow Minister the need for the planning system to have more flexibility so that automotive businesses in NSW can adapt to electric vehicles.

With the NSW state election only nine weeks away MTA NSW will continue to meet with all political parties to raise the important issues in the automotive industry.
