Inquiry into the Australian Tyre Industry report released.
The Federal House Standing Committee on Industry, Innovation and Science presented its report When the rubber hits the road: Inquiry into the Australian tyre industry to the Parliament earlier this month.
MTA NSW Group Head of Government Relations, Collin Jennings and Advisory Councillor Henk van Diggele presented evidence before the committee to inform members of the current and future state of the tyre industry.
The committee has made twelve recommendations for the government to consider including: developing a nationally harmonised regulatory framework, improving the recovery and management of off-the-road tyres, and supporting the tyre retreading industry
