A delegation from the Jeonbuk State Government in South Korea met with MTA NSW this week to gain insights into Australia’s automotive aftermarket sector.
Supporting automotive industry development
The delegation sought MTA NSW’s industry knowledge to assist in developing policies and strategies for Jeonbuk’s growing automotive aftermarket sector.
Major investment in the Jeonbuk region
The visit comes as the region prepares for significant investment from Hyundai Motor Group, which earlier this year entered into an agreement with the Korean Government and Jeonbuk State worth approximately $9.45 billion AUD to develop a new innovation hub in the Saemangeum area.
The project will focus on areas including robotics, artificial intelligence, hydrogen energy and advanced manufacturing.
Strengthening international connections
MTA NSW welcomed the opportunity to share insights from the Australian automotive industry and strengthen connections with international industry and government representatives.
