MTA NSW Group Becomes First Motor Trades Association to Back Women in Automotive With New Partnership
The Motor Traders’
Association of New South Wales (MTA NSW Group) has announced a new partnership
with Women in Automotive (WinA), becoming the first Motor Trades Association to
back WinA since it became an independent organisation.
The announcement
follows WinA’s flagship Melbourne event last week, which was attended by MTA
NSW Group CEO Stavros Yallouridis, in recognition of the collaboration.
The announcement
highlights MTA NSW Group’s commitment to advancing diversity across the
automotive industry, with the association committing to support WinA’s
programs, events, and advocacy work aimed at accelerating the participation of
women in all parts of the automotive ecosystem.
Rachel Reed Butler,
Co-Founder of Women in Automotive, said: "We're delighted to welcome MTA
NSW Group as our first MTA partner since becoming an independent organisation.
Their footprint across NSW and ACT will help us scale programs and visibility
for women right across the automotive ecosystem.”
The partnership will
enable expanded programs, enhanced industry events, and stronger advocacy for
women's advancement throughout the automotive pipeline and leverage MTA’s
footprint across both NSW and ACT, the nation’s largest market and car parc, to
scale impact and champion men and women working better together.
Stavros Yallouridis,
CEO of MTA NSW Group, added that partnering with WinA was a practical step that
reflects MTA NSW’s market leadership. "Our partnership with WinA is a
clear reflection of our leadership and values as an organisation. We want to ensure
the automotive industry appeals to women at every stage of their careers, while
showing how men and women can collaborate to drive the industry forward,"
he said.
This partnership builds
on MTA NSW Group's proud sponsorship of WinA's inaugural NSW Signature Series
event in July 2025, representing a natural progression aligned with the
association's position as the voice of the automotive industry.
As Australia's largest
state-based automotive industry association, representing NSW and ACT markets,
MTA NSW Group brings significant scale and reach to the partnership. The
collaboration connects two like-minded independent organisations committed to accelerating
women's participation across all levels of the automotive industry.
MTA NSW Group already
champions diversity within its own operations, supporting women in management
and board positions. The partnership with WinA reinforces this commitment while
extending support across the broader industry ecosystem.
Both organisations
invite members and industry stakeholders to engage through upcoming events,
resources, and collaborative programs designed to strengthen the automotive
sector's appeal and accessibility for women.
