MTS and MTA NSW Receive Generous Truck Chassis Donation
My Trade Start (MTS) and MTA NSW Training have received a generous donation of a truck chassis from Daimler Trucks Huntingwood, a part of the Velocity Truck Centre Group.
The Mercedes-Benz truck chassis will greatly assist MTS Trainers in teaching their heavy commercial vehicle mechanical course to the next generation of apprentices wanting to enter the logistics and transportation industry.
The chassis contains modern mechanical and hydraulic features and will ensure that apprentices receive up-to-date exposure to heavy commercial vehicle mechanical systems.
Daimler Trucks Huntingwood recognise the value of training and are very supportive in assisting apprentices and helping to address the skill shortage within the heavy commercial vehicle mechanical industry.
General Manager – RTO, Ian Price, said that the training facility was deeply appreciative by the generosity of Daimler Trucks Huntingwood and the tow truck operator who delivered the chassis, Retriever Towing Sydney.
"Contributions such as this one from the Velocity Truck Centre Group allow us to ramp up our hands-on training sessions when teaching heavy commercial vehicle mechanical apprentices in conjunction with our classroom-based training method,” Ian said.
“We would also like to recognise the professionalism and efficiency of the tow truck driver from Retriever Towing Sydney”.
