Hunter Region in COVID Lockdown

The NSW Premier has announced a one-week lockdown of both the Hunter and Upper Hunter regions. Residents and businesses located with these regions will have to observe the same restrictions as Greater Sydney. The Public Health Order will be updated overnight and if any further changes are specified Members will be advised.

Members will be aware that commencing at midnight on Sunday 3rd January, 2021 a new Public Health Order came into effect surrounding the wearing of “face coverings” in certain premises. Whilst the news reports concentrated on hospitality venues inclusive of shopping centers, hairdressing salons and tanning salons, members should be aware that the Public Health Order covers many more venues and in our view will apply to many of our members.
